We have a concrete basement floor!!!

Our concrete basement slab being poured. In the picture with the truck,
you can also see the 'monument' rock where we'll put our name/house #/house
name.
An overall view of the finished concrete job.
We have rockeries!!

The back of the garage with the new rockery along the edge, the rockery
supporting the patio with the cool stone stairs, and the spot where the hottub
will go.

Two views inside the house into the storage area (left side of both pics).
Our front door here. When you walk in the door, forward down the hallway
into the living room and look out the window, this will be the view.

Current views from above. The right-hand picture shows the walkway along
the side of the house we didn't think we were getting.
The view looking down the driveway. All the rockery work has been done
along the left side of the driveway. The big square rock will be our
'monument' rock at the entrance of the house, and the stack of rocks to the
right of the black gravel pile are the stones with the nice flat areas that will
be the stairs down from the patio. The excavator picked out the best
rocks!
A view inside the house. The area on the left is the regular finished
basement area. The space on the right will be the 'found' space that will
be for storage. Pretty cool, huh? The concrete wall in the
foreground is where the door from the kitchen will open out to the patio.
We have a foundation!!!!

The construction road and the excavator working on the rockeries. You can
see that we've backfilled into the garage and the area coming up to the front
door.

This a panorama from approximately Spot #2. The foreground is the
fireplace bump-out. If you look carefully, you can see the 4ft wall that
runs between the finished basement and the 'new' storage area. On the
left, you can see the door that will go from the work shed to the storage
area.
A view of the finished foundation, from above.
Another
view of the finished foundation, from above.
A
detail view of the foundation. You can see the strap tie holddowns.
There are 20 holes that are used to nail to the wood frame of the house.
This holds the house down on the foundation. You can also see the anchor
bolts that the 2x4s that start the bottom of the framing will attach to.
You can also see all the mud. The site is mostly clay, so when it gets wet
it's really slippery.
