We have lumber!!!  Check out the progress!

The overall view showing some walls!  And, the view out our dining room windows.  The house is tall enough that you can see down the ravine, not just over the edge.  So cool!

Have I mentioned how steep our driveway it?  Have I effectively conveyed how steep it is....?

The drainage system is working very well! (this is looking down  a 24" long pipe down to the water running through the drainage system)  You can see how wet the surface is.

The construction road is installed.  OK, first the paver got stuck.  It's steep & muddy and the paver had 36,000 pounds of asphalt in it, so not a huge surprise.  So they brought a tow truck in.  Then the tow truck got stuck.  So they brought a dump truck down to pull the paver and tow truck out.  The paver didn't even budge.  So they brought a 2nd dump truck to help pull.  Still nothing.  So, the paving company drove their big bulldozer that they use in the yard the two miles up to the site, and the bulldozer proceeded to simply pick up the paver and get it unstuck.  Five hours later.

But the end result is we have a construction driveway:
