The beginnings of our kitchen island.  I should probably mention that the island is 'L' shaped, hence the one post being shorter than the others.

STAIRS!!!!  From the main floor to the 2nd, and from the basement to the main floor.  Well most of this staircase has been there for quite a while, except for the last three steps.

The front door before & after.  Note the fascia (white board running along edge of roof).  In the before picture you can see that they run back underneath the edges of the bottom of the gable (angled roof above front door).  This left no space for the columns that we'll have that go up to the front corners of the gables, they'd run into that section of roof under the gable.  Plus, it really didn't look right.
