Work slowed a bit while we waited for the water test to come back clean and it did. We hope to have the land cleared and the house site dug for the concrete to start on the 22nd.

The finished hole, from the general area of Spot #2. I've come in closer
as when I stand at Spot #2, the big dirt piles block the view. Concrete
form set-up is next, hopefully they'll start pouring next Friday.

Digging the hole for the foundation.

The land is cleared!!!!
Not quite from Spot #1, I had to move closesr as there is a huge pile of debris
blocking the view. I'm facing west and the lower of the two large cedar
trees is in the right foreground of the photo.
Compare this picture with the one at the bottom of the page. Our house
here. Beyond the debris pile.
Spot #2. A really good view of the building site. Mark is standing
about where the front door will be. If you look closely, you can see pairs
of stakes. They are at the corners of the house.

Pictures of our blueprints and the site plan to help you get an idea of how
things are situated:
The site plan, large view. North is to your left. It shows the road
leading to the property, the existing u-turn to the neighbors, our new driveway
and where the house will go.
This is a close-up of the house on the site plan.
This is the main floor blueprint. Garage, mud room, laundry, pantry,
powder room, kitchen / dining area / living room, stairs up to 2nd floor &
down to basement, kid bedroom, kid bath, sewing room.
To tell how the three layers stack, use the bump-out of the fireplace chimney at
the top of each picture.
This is the 2nd floor Master suite. The closet, spa, master bedroom, and
storage AKA nursery/Mark's office.
This is the basement. It has a work shed, and where we plan to have our
guest suite FKA Media room. That and the kid chaos room, FKA unfinished
basement. The hot tub will be outside the exterior door at the
top-left. Although we recently decided that during the summer months, it
may be a cool tub.
Our files at City of Kenmore. From left to right: Modification of
Sensitive Area file, paperwork returned to us, building permit file.
Some more work has been done, but it's hard for anyone else to tell.
Imagine our house here. I'm standing on the dirt pile you can see in the
previous photo and facing west north-west. It will be a distance away from
where I'm standing, but that's the general location where it will be.
